Lookie what I found! 25¢ apiece at a flea market somewhere off US 50 in West Virginia…
All old tatting thread, DMC, J&P Coats, and Star. There was a box that had probably four times as much as that, all for a quarter a ball, but I managed to show some restraint and only bought three dollars’ worth.
Now I just need a shuttle; I’m holding off for the next Joann’s flyer since it’ll cost next to nothing with a coupon.

I just found some of that in my grandmother’s sewing box. It was a variegated pink, and size 70. Size 70. It was like using sewing thread!

fabulous find! i recently crocheted a rose with some size 80 tatting thread – it’s oh so tiny and cute :)
