That looks really spiffy! I love the pattern texture. I wish I could feel it. It looks touchable, and that may sound strange, so I'll slink away.

Love the tweed shawl. Reminds me I made one quite awhile ago and it's sitting in the basket waiting for
the fringe to be put on. I bought one of those fringing tools at Michaels on clearance
awhile ago too and can use it. Yours looks really nice on you.

Awesome! And Deneen's advice is really good. I never thought of such a simple solution! Who knew?

No, you don't look like a dork. The shawl looks good, too. I know what you mean about fringe. I hate making it, and I'm so vertically challenged I don't like wearing it, but it sure does make a difference on some projects.

Your shawl looks great, and you look great with it. I hate fringing things. I just cust a DVD case to measure my yarn, then I cut and fringe.

No you do not look like a dork =) I know the feeling though, like Deneen said, pictures just never seem to be kind to me. Once, a bf took me out (he was a budding photographer) in the desert, made me put two tons of makeup on and took about six rolls of film of me. Those pictures came out pretty decently. That was several weight gains/losses/gains ago but, from him I learned the secret is you have to wear two tons of makeup. More even than you'd slather on to go to a dark nightclub. I felt ridiculous in broad daylight with that much makeup on my face, but it sure made a difference.

Anyway lol

Love the shawl, that is a gorgeous blue. I'm really gonna have to make a nice blue shawl that goes well with jeans like that.

P.S. You don't look like a dork, you look fine. I am one of those people who hates getting my picture taken because no matter how professional, the picture is unflattering. I have never had a picture I liked since I was a kid. Perhaps I really look like that all the time, but I know there are times cleaned up and dressed up I look nice and yet the pictures beg to differ.

That looks great on. I think mine is the same color (like a blue heather). Also, the craft stores sell a finge thingy fofor something like $3.00. Susan Bates makes it and it is adjustable for something like five different lengths of fringe. You wind it around and then cut, very simple. If you can't find one there, let me know and I'll try and find one (I know Michael's doesn't have it here)Seems like a silly little gadget, but really keeps them all the same length and makes it quick. I also think when I did this shawl, I ran out of yarn the last fringe (no lie) and I had to take all the fringe out and use one less strand per finger, and it looked just as nice. Also, I did notice the darn yarn near the center was all funkyish and knew I should have rewound the skein to give it a chance to smooth out. Eventually, it will and if you wash it and let it hang to dry, they do straighten out.
